Santa weiß selbstverständlich, wo Senhor Sancho und Madame Bela wohnen und hat deshalb - wie jedes Jahr! - die Route über Monchique genommen.
Seine Hoheit war hocherfreut, dass auch von himmlischer Seite (bzw. vom Nordpol) seiner gedacht wurde. Und er revanchierte sich königlich: Frauchen durfte heute ausschlafen: Bis 10:10 haben's der Senhor und Madame geschafft, nicht in der Gegend rumzutoben, sondern faul neben und im Bett zu bleiben. Wussten sie doch: Die Leckerlis von Ute waren bei weitem nicht zu Ende, und die waren es wert, heute mal länger zu pennen.
Die Hundeschaften bedanken sich nochmals ausdrücklich! Und sind ein bisschen neidisch, weil Grumpy BB sowas sicher tagtäglich kriegt...

Yesterday we posted the NORAD Santa tracker as he travelled around the world distributing presents.
At just after 2330 hrs last night 24th December 2023, he crossed into Portugal just to the west of Monchique (as can be seen on the map) before heading to Lisbon. He then continued to the west of Caldas da Rainha and then onto Porto before heading to London, via Southamptom.
Between entering Portugal and passing Porto, Santa was generous to Portugal by delivering around 10,718,079 presents (see presents totals top right)

Each year on Dec. 24, the North American Aerospace Defence Command (NORAD) uses its cutting-edge technologies to track Santa‘s movements as he works to deliver presents to children around the world.
By day, NORAD provides air security and aerospace warning services. However, during the holiday season, the joint Canadian-American organization keeps children of the world apprised with up-to-the-minute updates on Santa’s whereabouts.
